Pontiac Cancels 50 Cent's Ride

General Motors, better known as GM, confirmed today that they plan to cancel the Pontiac G8, better known as 50 Cent's sport truck. The two-door, six-foot bed vehicle was set to debut in 2010 after 50 first introduced the G8 at the New York International Auto Show last March.

In a statement, Pontiac says the cancellation is part of their restructuring plan with GM due to the recession and the company's long-term "vision for Pontiac." Pontiac did say that just because they cancelled 50's truck, they still plan to make other G8 vehicles.

In related news, we previously reported that MTV also cancelled 50 Cent's reality show "The Money and the Power." Citing bad ratings, MTV shut down the show after only six episodes and shut off the green light for a second season.

50 Cent's highly anticipated fourth album "Before I Self-Destruct" is now scheduled to hit stores on February 3rd. The second single for the album "I Get It In" [listen here] recently hit the web.
