50 Cent Asks For A Rapper To Compete With

50 Cent is now responding to the news that he will be sharing a release date with so many other artists. Although there are so many other albums coming out the same day as his, the G-Unit general feels like there isn't an official "face-off" like he had in 2007 with Kanye West. "I guess I should be devastated that I'm up against Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears?" 50 said in an interview. "This is a great competition, you mean to tell me I get the chance to go into a battle against pop singers? I don't see myself in competition with artists that aren't even in the same genre. Could you find a rapper for me to compete with please? Now I gotta fight Justin? I'm gonna fight him and kick his a**!"

As we previously reported, 50 Cent's long-awaited upcoming "Before I Self Destruct" album has been pushed back once again and will now face off with Baby (aka Birdman) and his "Pricele$$" album, not to mention Jay Sean's "All Or Nothing" album, but that isn't all. Moving the release date by one day (from Tuesday November 24th to Monday November 23rd) to take full advantage of the start of the holiday shopping season when customers flock to the stores after Thanksgiving.

The change extends across the Universal umbrella, including Interscope Geffen A&M, Universal Motown/Republic, and Island Def Jam. The new date will of course include 50 Cent but also pop releases from artists like Rihanna, Timbaland (and his "Shock Value 2" album), and the second album from Lady Gaga's "The Fame Monster."
