Back in July, rapper 50 Cent was with five criminal counts-one count of domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism, following an assault on the mother of his child, Daphne Joy. It was looking like Fifty would face some jail time.
However, a judge has now sentenced the rapper to three years probation and 30 days community service. The rapper will also seek anger counseling. Back when the incident took place, his lawyer released the following statement on CNN:
“Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him,” the lawyer said in a letter that appeared on CNN. “It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest. We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time.” (CNN)
