The steriod scandle has now moved from baseball and sports as a whole into the music industry, focussing on rap stars. A Albany (NY) based steroid investigation nammed a number of artists in a report, but they are not part of an ongoing criminal probe, according to a published report. The Times Union of Albany cited unnamed sources and claimed that Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry may have received or used performance enhancing drugs. Law Enforcement said evidence does not indicate that the celebrities broke the law, rather officials are focusing on the doctors, pharmacists and clinics that provide the drugs.
So far no artists or actors have commented on the story.
