Akon's A Free Man, For Another Month At Least

Akon will remain a free man, at least for another month. The criminal case against him was adjourned this morning until next month. The case comes from an incident where Akon allegedly threw a 15-year-old fan off the stage at a 2007 concert [watch here]. Akon was later charged with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a minor. These charges could mean Akon serving 1 year and 15 days in prison.
Patricia Smith, the mother of the 15 year-old in question said that todays hearing, that lasted all of 5 minutes, was "pretty typical." The pissed off mother went on to say "People can just hang in there long enough until the case goes in their favor."
