Asher Roth Reveals Details About “RetroHash” Album

Posted By on February 27, 2014

I Love College” rapper Asher Roth may have been away from the game for a few years, but he’s gearing up for the release of his upcoming album, “RetroHash“.  While speaking to Billboard, Roth revealed features on the album and a release date of April 22.

RetroHash, as a whole, is a record of renewal and self-discovery,” Asher Roth says in an interview with Billboard. “It’s not Asher trying to be this or that. It’s just me trying to be me.”

“I Love College’ was an honest record that worked,” Roth says. “But instead of doing that again and again, it’s like, ‘Let’s try something new.'”

Asher went on to describe his new take on music.

“I’m still out drinking beer,” Roth adds. “I still like to partake in my recreational marijuana. It’s one of those things where I want to operate at a high level. My whole thing with RetroHash is progress, every day, topping what I did yesterday…Sometimes you gotta eat Chick-Fil-A at 3:00 in the morning, but it’s all about moderation.”

RetroHash is set to feature production from the Blended Babies and features from ZZ Ward and Vic Mensa. Mensa is slated to appear as a guest on “Fast Life.” “
