Kanye West and Lil Wayne Clean Up At BET Awards

    The much anticipated BET Awards took place last night, hosted by D.L. Hughley. As expected Lil Wayne took home The Views Choice award for "Lollipop" while Kanye West won the Best Male Hip Hop Artist award. Winning multiple awards, the two artists took the stage together when Kanye brought Wayne out on stage saying "This is my fiercest competition," continuing, "Congratulations on selling 1 million ... and they say hip-hop is dead."

    Alicia Keys and Chris Brown won the Best Female and Male R&B Artists while other winners include The Dream for Best New Artist and Missy Elliott for Best Female Hip Hop Artist. UGK took home the Video Of The Year award for "International Player's Anthem." While accepting the award Bun B who described the video shoot as one of the  "best days I'll remember for the rest of my life."

    Peformers at this years awards included Usher, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Chris Brown, Nelly and an Alicia Keys performance that included SWV, En Vogue and TLC performing several of their hits.
