Beyonce continues her singing and acting career with roles in the new film and soundtrack for "Cadillac Records" [watch the trailer here]. Telling the story of the raise and fall of Chess Records, Beyonce plays Etta James saying "I realized that Etta James was so unapologetic, bold and strong that
playing her was a big risk for me," Beyonce told Billboard, continuing "It gave me the confidence and the push to challenge
myself a little more with my music."
Beyonce's cover of Etta James' "At Last" is the lead single for the soundtrack that also features Mos Def (portraying Chuck Berry in the film), Jeffrey Wright (as Muddy Waters), Columbus Short (as Little Walter) and Eamonn Walker (as Howlin' Wolf). Other artists on the soundtrack that is available in single & double disc include Raphael Saadiq, Beyonce's sister Solange, Mary Mary, Nas, Buddy Guy and Elvis Presley.
