BJ The Chicago Kid Speaks On Bond With Schoolboy Q

Posted By on March 7, 2014

Of all the bangin tracks on Schoolboy Q‘s new album,”Oxymoron“, my personal favorite is “Studio” featuring singer BJ The Chicago Kid. BJ recently linked up MySpace and discussed what it was like working with Q.

“Q was cool,” BJ says in the MySpace interview. “He was a little quiet when I first met him. But reserved guys are guys that you want to holler at—you want to see what’s on his mind and get below the surface. So we blew a blunt and started rapping a little bit. He’s my dude, though.”

“We celebrate life in general, not to sound cliché or corny, but it’s true,” BJ says. “We kick it hard every time we’re together. I actually didn’t make it to any of the release parties, ’cause I’m trying to lock down this EP that I’m closing up.”
