Busta Rhymes Leaves Aftermath/Interscope, Signs With Motown

Rumors have been going around that Busta Rhymes was either being dropped or leaving his situation with Interscope Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment. Now it seems that the rumors are coming true. Reps from Motown have confirmed with Sohh that Busta Rhymes has left Interscope/Aftermath and signed to Universal Motown.

As for why Busta left, nothing is certain or confirmed. There have been many rumors going around like a beef between Busta and Interscope headman Jimmy Iovine. Busta, like all rappers nowadays, suffered major delays with his new album Blessed as it was set to be released in July and of course, never hit shelves. The album even had two popular videos including “We Made It”  [watch here] and “Don’t Touch Me (Throw Da Water On ’Em) [watch here]”

If the album is released through Motown it is expected to feature work from Linkin Park, Dr. Dre, Green Lantern, Cool & Dre, Timbaland and Pharrell.
