Busta Rhymes was formally sentenced today for his role in two assault cases when he appeared in a Manhattan Criminal Court. Judge Larr Stephens sentenced Busta to three years probation and 10 days of community service for an incident in August of 2006 where a fan was assaulted along with another incident in December of 2006 where his former driver was also assaulted. Busta Rhyme's attorney Scott Leemon ESQ said "Busta is glad to put this behind him and finally get on with his life." Busta was also fined $1,250 for court costs and for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license. Busta will have to enroll in a drunken driving program and the judge warned "If you mess up, you’re going to jail." As he was leaving court room Busta seemed appreciative for his freedom saying "I thank the judge for giving me a chance and I thank everybody for being supportive."
