C-Murder, otherwise known as Corey Miller to the government, was found guilty of second-degree murder after a judge forced a deciding jury to redo their verdict. The verdict, which reporters say may be influenced by a juror who simply wanted the trial to end, returned a 10-2 vote, which is enough for a second-degree conviction.
Although we the jury did return the 10-2 vote early in the day, the judge forced them back into deliberations due to the questionable juror who people say simply wanted to get out of it. The juge said after the verdict's intial reading that one juror had apparently changed her vote just to end deliberations. Three jurors had been seen crying in the courtroom Tuesday morning, and the day before they sent a note that they were having trouble reaching a consensus.
