Lugz & Baby release new Shoe

Lugz Shoe Company and music mogul and multi-platinum hip-hop artist Bryan “Baby” Williams (aka #1 Stunna, aka Birdman) bring you another collection of athletic footwear – The Lugz Stunna.

After two successful shoe launches, which included the Birdman Sneaker series which premiered May 15, 2004 followed by the Birdman Nightwing Boot series which launched November 5, 2004, the success of the Stunna is inevitable. This introduction will consist of two shoes – the Stunna Low with its clean white leather look, and the Stunna Mid with Strap that brings a little more “bling” to the shoe, including a platinum looking Stunna logo placed on the back heel counter of the shoe. Each shoe will come with the signature Stunna Logo keychain.

The Birdman Sneaker when first introduced to retail May 15 also had one white low version and one white mid version. After the initial success, eight new colorways for Men and three new colorways for Ladies followed. Baby even had a fur lined sneaker. A “Cash Money” Money Clip was included with each shoe. The holiday line expanded on the classic look with a new boot design consisting of multiple colorways and fabrications inclusive of camouflage, fur lined and traditional wheat nubuck.

The Stunna shoes will be supported by a cutting edge “gangsta” advertising campaign that also continues the “Never Fold” concept that debuted in Holiday 2004. A :15 TV spot will begin airing March 9, and the print campaign will launch in April publications on stands March 1.

Baby’s “Birdman” Shoes have sold over one million pairs since their introduction in May 2004. The partnership represents the continuation of Lugz’ eleven year commitment to merging hip-hop and footwear. Always an innovator and leader in urban footwear, in February 2003 Lugz released the industry’s first signature artist shoe with the DJ Funkmaster Flex – the “FMF-1” Driving Shoe. Lugz also sold over one million pairs of “Flex” Driving Shoes, making him one of the top endorsers in the shoe industry.

Baby (Bryan Williams) is responsible for creating and branding the “bling-bling” empire that would go on to define, shape and mold a signature sound, now known as the epitome of the Dirty South. Baby’s next album”Fast Money” will be released in early 2005.
