Chief Keef has been staying out of headlines until recent where he was spotted in the studio with Kanye West and announcing his “Bang 3” mixtape. However, it should’t be a surprise that Keef has found himself on the wrong side of the law again. The Chicago rapper is now involved in a lawsuit for skipping out on a charity event and taking the deposit from the event organizer.
According to reports, Kim Productions paid Keef a $15,000 deposit for him to perform at a RapCure breast cancer event back in June.
“In court docs, Kim Productions claims it paid Keef a $15K deposit … to perform at the RapCure cancer benefit last June. The balance — $10K — was supposed to be paid at the event” (TMZ)
Kim Productions also say that Chief’s agent demanded $2500 for travel expenses the day before and promised the rapper would show up.
“Kim Prods. claims the day before the event, Keef demanded a $2,500 advance to cover travel expenses. Kim says the money was wired … and Keef’s agent claimed Keef was on his way.” (TMZ)
The production company is suing the rapper for $26,000 for expenses lost.
“The company is suing for $26K — the money it paid to Keef plus the amount spent on the theater, lights, equipment, advertising and the refunded tickets.” (TMZ)
