Although rumors of Chris Brown being shut out of the BET Awards are going crazy right now, a spokesman for BET said "the rumors are false." It made sense that Brown would perform as he previously paid tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2007 MTV Video Awards with a King-Of-Pop-Like dance. Chris was also part of one of the first Michael Jackson tribute songs titled "Better On The Other Side" [listen here] which also included The Game, Usher, Diddy and Boys II Men.
Although Chris Brown hasn't said anything about the rumors, he did issue a statement about the death of Michael Jackson. "Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an
entertainer," Brown said. "I am devastated by this great loss, and I
will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are
with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
He's the greatest … the best ever. No one will ever be better."
