Update: Chris Brown Not Cut From BET Awards

    Although rumors of Chris Brown being shut out of the BET Awards are going crazy right now, a spokesman for BET said "the rumors are false." It made sense that Brown would perform as he previously paid tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2007 MTV Video Awards with a King-Of-Pop-Like dance. Chris was also part of one of the first Michael Jackson tribute songs titled "Better On The Other Side" [listen here] which also included The Game, Usher, Diddy and Boys II Men.

    Although Chris Brown hasn't said anything about the rumors, he did issue a statement about the death of Michael Jackson. "Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer," Brown said. "I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He's the greatest ... the best ever. No one will ever be better."

    In related news, as we previously reported, Juelz Santana responded to the the rumors that Jay-Z had refused to perform if Chris Brown did saying that was a "Sucker Move" by Jigga [more here]
