With a leader like Eminem, who is infamous for his offensive
lyrics, D12 is naturally known for their hardcore rap style. From the
most dangerous city in America, the Dirty Dozen knows what it
is like to defend yourself at all costs so it’s no surprise that the
mult-platinum rap group took time from their European tour to visit the
United States Army Air Base in Weisbaden, Germany.
First grabbing lunch with the troops, the group enjoyed what they
called "the best food on the tour yet," before heading over to the
local radio station AFN Heisen for an on-air interview, followed by a
television spot. The group then visited some wounded soldiers where
they shared stories, laughed and played games. The United States Army
then presented D12
with "Order Of The Phoenix" award, thanking the group for their
efforts. In addition to the award, everyone in the group got a military
coin, which doubles as a bottle opener. [watch here]
Next up was a meet and greet over at the gym where the guys signed
autographs and took pictures with fans from all ages. With over 12,000
people on the base alone, many family members of the soldiers showed up
to meet D12. Later both Kuniva and Swift lost at pool (billards) while Rondell Beene and taking more pictures the group invited the soldiers to their sold-out show in Klon, Germany that took plae that night.
