TMZ has confirmed that rapper DMX has been named George Zimmerman‘s opponent in an upcoming celebrity boxing match. Daman Feldman, the fight’s promoter, explained how X was chosen.
“Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman tells us, DMX was selected out of 15,000 applicants … all of whom wanted a piece of Zimmerman in the ring after he issued the open challenge to fight anyone willing to take him.” (TMZ)
A few days ago we reported DMX had a few choice words for Zimmerman after he got whim of the celebrity boxing match.
“I am going to beat the living f**k out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up.” He then said he’d literally piss on George’s face.” (TMZ)
The time and date of the match is set to be released Next Wednesday at a News Conference.
Although both parties have had a verbal agreement on getting in the ring together, a representative for DMX says they have yet to see a contract so until then it is not %100 official yet.
Hold off on placing your wagers … money has become a big snag in George Zimmerman’s boxing match against DMX — the rapper’s rep tells TMZ, contract negotiations are STILL ongoing … so the fight isn’t official … yet.
