The past few weeks have been filled with rumors concerning a celebrity boxing match against George Zimmerman and Dmx. The owner of Celebrity Boxing, Damon Feldman tweeted about the cancellation earlier today.
In the tweet, Feldman kept it short and to the point.
“The George Zimmerman fight is canceled I’m sorry for anyone I hurt with this but this was a very big opportunity thank you,”
Feldman also added that even the money could no longer keep him motivated to put this fight on and that people’s feelings meant more to him.
“I wasn’t being disrespected [sic] to anyone I had a plan here with this fight I’ll let you know soon hope everyone is happy I’m very sorry,” he tweeted. “I want to thank everyone for the good n [sic] bad comments I’ve made the choice to cancel the fight w George Zimmermann [sic] more to life then [sic] money.”
“This was the wrong person to put in the ring and define celebrity boxing thank you,” he tweeted from his handle@hollywoodbox11. “I walked away from av [sic] million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I’d rather be happy and make people happy thank you.”
A few days ago, DMX spoke to TMZ about how he felt going into to this fight.
“I am going to beat the living f— out of him,” DMX boasted, according to TMZ. “I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f— him right up.”
