DMX Set To Box Ex Business Partner

Now that he's out of prison and hanging out with other rappers at the Hip Hop Honors event, DMX plans to knock out a album person. DMX
is set to fight Eric Martinez as part of a fight night that also
includes Butterbean taking on Tank Abbott. So how did this all come
about? "Well, the promoters reached out and wanted to see if they can
set up a celebrity fight between myself and DMX. It was just real
simple. I heard that Busta Rhymes was actually the original opponent they were trying to get for DMX," Eric Martinez says.
Once the news hit that DMX was going to be fighting Martinez, fans quickly thought it was a fake fight since X and Martinez had worked together in the past, even stating Eric managed X.
"My company has actually done some work with him in the past as far as
branding and promoting," Martinez says. "We've done some stuff in the
past [with DMX]. But that has nothing to do with this. I'm not
his manager. Awhile back there was a press release that said I was part
of the management team."
