DMX Sentenced To A Year In Prison

Well it's going to be another bad holiday season for rapper DMX as news of him being sentenced to a year in prison has hit the internet. This morning (December 16th) DMX, better known to the government as Earl Simmons, plead guilty to felony probation violation after he was arrested on November 18th for not checking in with his probation officer and failing to take a drug test.
"I did make the effort that I could, and I appreciate any help you can give me," DMX told Judge Christine Mulleneaux. The judge later replied "Your criminal history goes back to 1988," adding, "It's going to continue if you don't take care of your mental health."
