The rapper, born Earl Simmons, failed to appear at a pretrial conference related to various driving violations related to a June 2 incident in which the rapper was stopped for driving his SUV at high speeds.
Yesterday Judge Brian Hansbury gave the rapper a one-day reprieve but ordered DMX to appear in court today (Apr. 11) or a warrant would be issued for his arrest.
DMX is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for driving with a suspended license. He was also issued tickets for the unsafe lane change violations.
Simmons failed to appear in court last summer to answer the charges and an arrest warrant was issued for the rapper.
He was jailed on June. 28 and released on $2,500 bond on June. 30.
