2011 is shaping up to be a big year for Dr Dre... Between his long-awaited and highly-anticipated "Detox" album hitting store shelves and new lines of his "Beats" headphones slash laptops, Dr Dre has a lot of things to promote and now he has a new way to do it...

Zynga, the social game company, is teaming up with Dr Dre to allow some of the 200 million global players of their "Mafia Wars" game to listen to Dre's "Kush" single. "Mafia Wars" users, through the "Hustlin Wit Dre" feature, will be able to purchase virtual goods like headphones, cars and even weapons.
“We’re always looking for innovative and interesting ways for fans to discover great music and with an artist of Dre’s cultural significance we really wanted something special that’s never been done before,” Interscope Geffen and A&M Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine said, via written statement. “We felt it was a perfect fit for Dre to be the first musical experience for the millions of Mafia Wars players to enjoy while gaming."
In related news, over the years it seems like almost everyone at some point was signed to Dr Dre's Aftermath Entertainment but the Doc says that in 2011 he plans to focus on his latest signed artists, Slim da Mobster and a fellow Compton native, Kendrick Lamar... saying simply "Just west coast Hip Hop, that's what I'm doin'."
