VH1 is changing its platform from the "I Love The" decade reminiscing shows, to a hip hop theme (temporarily at least). The usually hip-hop free music station will debut two hip-hop type shows including "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs" and "VH1 Rock Doc: NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group."

The '100 Greatest' show will be a five-part series, counting down the best hip hop songs of all times while revealing the story behind each track plus updating viewers on what the respective artists are doing today. Hitting the air on September 29th at 10pm, '100 Greatest' will feature interviews and performances from Outkast, Eminem and more.

Narrated by Chris Rock, VH1's 'Roc Doc' on NWA will look at the history of the group plus interviews with Ice Cube, MC Ren, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Eazy-E's widow Tomica Woods-Wright, Ice T and director John Singleton. Check out "VH1 Rock Doc: NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group" on October 3rd at 11pm.

VH1's hip hop theme comes with their 5th annual 'Hip Hop Honors' show that hits air on October 6th. This year's honorees include Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature and Too Short with appearances from Big Boi, Biz Markie, Bun B, DJ Kaos, Ghostface Killah, Kid Rock, MC Lyte, Lil' Jon, Lil' Wayne, Q-Tip, Scarface, Wyclef Jean, and even Cheech and Chong.
