Drake's producer is now being sued by DJ Absolut, who says he helped with the production on his "Best I Ever Had" single but was never paid. Absolut is suing Kia Shine, who was the co-producer on the song, saying that he agreed to pay him 20% of all the proceeds but she secretly went to Drake last year cutting a deal to get 25% interest in the songs copyright, which has already made him a million.
Absolut's lawyers say Shine's reps have refused to return calls. "Kia Shine needs to uphold his end of the agreement," said Muir's lawyer, Brian Levy. "It wasn't my client's desire to resort to legal action to get him to do it. We've reached out to him, but he has not chosen to respond."
