VIBE Magazine is coming back and the new "debut" issue will feature two covers, one with new Young Money rapper Drake and the other with R&B singer slash "Im Sorry" Chris Brown. On the new double cover issue, Drake is given the "Hip Hop's New Religion" title while Chris Brown is featured as offering readers an exclusive "definitive" interview. Other details on the issue include features on Amber Rose in the fashion section and Serena Williams grabs the "Serena Strikes Back" title.
VIBE's print re-launch will include reduced numbers like four
issues for next year (instead of 10 once planned for 2009) plus 300,000
in circulation compared to 600,000 at the time of it's shutdown. The
return issue (which hits stands on December 8th) is slightly over-sized
and is expected to include more than 40 pages of advertising.
