The DJ Hero video game just snagged the two biggest hip hop stars in the world, Eminem and Jay-Z. Both legendary MCs will have their music featured on the game played with a turntable-shaped controller. Due out this fall on PS3, PS2, X-Box and Wii, the limited edition version will even come with exclusive new greatest-hits CDs and maybe even unreleased songs. "I have a ton of content, I just need the pipeline," Jay-Z says. "I love the freedom of (DJ Hero). I could wake up tomorrow morning with the idea for a song and call the guys at Activision and start working on getting it out."
Exact track lists are not known yet (although Jay-Z will be including "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" and "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" for sure) and Eminem wasnm't exaclty willing to give the secret up yet. "I don't want to give away any surprises yet," he said in an email. "DJ Hero will include my music, and I'll be providing additional material as downloadable content by the end of the year." Not known as a big video game player, Slim Shady says "This is a game I can see myself actually playing," making sure to add "DJ'ing is fundamental to rap music, so it's a great fit."
