It is official…Eminem's new "Recovery" album debuted number one with close to 750,000 copies sold in only it's first week in stores, beating out his 2009 album "Relapse" by 150,000 copies (along with his "Curtain Call: The Hits" album which entered number one with 441,000 copies scanned. This marks Eminem's sixth straight number one album.
Eminem's dominance isn't just in stores but also digitally. "Recovery" also racked up over 250,000 copies online which is the second highest and biggest digital week in history (with only U2 above him by only a few thousand copies). Basically Eminem sells more copies of his album digitally then most artists give away their projects for free.
