$685 for a Brick?

Posted By on August 26, 2005

Would you fork over $685 for a brick — a single brick? Well, someone living in Nebraska did just that this week, purchasing the last of 30 bricks autographed by Eminem in an eBay auction benefiting his Marshall Mathers Foundation, which helps troubled youths, and the Eight Mile Boulevard Association. The bricks, according to the Detroit Free Press, were recovered from the demolished Detroit Artillery Armory on Eight Mile Road in Em’s Oak Park neighborhood. All told, sales from the 30 bricks raised close to $8,600 for the nonprofits.
