Flo Rida isn't fueld by titles like his Number 1 digital sales artist for 2008 crown, he just wants make good music. "I didn't set out to do any No. 1 records. I just go into the studio and make music that I love." Even if success isn't Flo Rida's main motivation, it certainly doesn't hurt. His single, "Low," has sold 4.4 million digital downloads, making it the top seller in that format for 2008.
Flo explains how he accomplished such a thing saying "I did a lot of radio, locally in Florida, and then other states once the record got more popular," says Flo Rida. "I also did a lot of different little gigs in bigger markets like Atlanta and New York while I was there for radio and that helped."
The Florida rapper is currently recording his 2nd album called "R.O.O.T.S." (Routes Of Overcoming The Struggle). The new album is currently scheduled for a Spring release and will feature work with producers J Rock, Doctor Luke and DJ Montay, who crafted "Low."
