Foxy Brown reaches out to fans in jail, via website

Being behind bars apparently hasn't stopped Foxy Brown, who is launching a new site, FreeFoxyBrown.com, dedicated to keeping fans in the rapper's loop.

The site will reportedly feature up-to the-minute news about the rapper as well as feature new tracks from Brown's upcoming disc, Brooklyn's Don Diva, which is set for release on November 20. The Brooklyn-bred MC is currently incarcerated after violating the terms of her probation on several occasions including a highly publicized incident involving a beauty supply store employee in Florida and an altercation where she struck a woman in the mouth with her Blackberry cell phone.

The rapper is not letting her current situation stop her from reaching out to her fans, something that Foxy feels is important to both her career and her personally.

"I devoted my career to building an affinity with my fans who have supported me unflinchingly and no barbed wire fence or prison wall will stop that," said Brown via a statement. "I am in great spirits and very focused, and needed a forum to communicate to the people."

Despite being locked up, Foxy is said to be directly involved with content for the site. Fans can also reach out and write to Foxy while in jail by going through the website.

Brooklyn's Don Diva hits stores on November 20 on Koch Records.
