Police have announced that they have made an arrest in the now infamous shooting involving rapper French Montana and his tour bus. One person was killed as of result of the drive by shooting.
It was after a French Montana concert that someone drove by a crowd standing near the rapper’s tour bus and opened fire, killing one young man and injuring another. Montana subsequently responded to reports that claimed that he was targeted in the shooting. He said that he had nothing to do with the shooting and that his tour bus was not even hit by the barrage of gun fire. He also said that the media was making it into something more serious than it was by comparing it to the attempt made on Maybach Music Group Chief Rick Ross’ life several weeks back.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia police have arrested Frank Briggs, age 20. Briggs now faces charges of murder, attempted murder, reckless endangerment, firearms violations and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.
This shooting took place on the night of February 28th. It was on this night that Briggs allegedly fired into a crowd standing next to Montana’s tour bus.
One man, Jowann King, 26, was killed as a result of the shooting. It is not yet know if King was the target or an innocent bystander. Montana has repeatedly denied that he had any involvement as a victim or otherwise.
