| Travis Barker continues to expand his resume. Already the former drummer for Blink-182, the Aquabats, +44 and Box Car Racer, Barker now is entering the world of hip-hop. Barker told the L.A. Times "I thought, 'If I want my remixes to be popular, if I want people to even know I'm doing them, maybe I should use YouTube," so last Setember Barker posted a video [watch here] of himself pounding the drums remixing Soulja Boy's "Crank That" and later Rihanna's "Umbrella" [listen here], Busta Rhymes' "Don't Touch Me" [watch here], The Game's "Dope Boys" [watch here], Flo Rida's "Low" [watch here], and Wale's "G Told Me."
Now Barker has teamed up with DJ AM to bring the world the new duo TRV$DJAM. Travis Barker & DJ AM recently put out a FREE mixtape called "Fix Your Face" [download it here]. "We got together, I threw on James Brown's 'Funky Drummer,' one of the most sampled beats in hip-hop, and 'I Know You Got Soul' by Bobby Byrd. His face would just open up; he would match the beat perfectly. I thought, 'Damn, this is fun.' It's like a skeleton you get to put the clothes on. And once the clothes are on, you yank out the spine" DJ AM said. Check out their site @ www.trvsdjam.com
