Danger Mouse, also known as one-half of the group Gnarls Barkely, is taking on the music industry in his own new way. The Grammy nominated producer for such acts as MF Doom and The Gorillaz (not to mention his "Grey Album") is releasing his new "Dark Night Of The Soul" album as a blank CD-R telling fans to burn it themselves.
After many legal battles over the release of the new album, Danger Mouse's label EMI decided to shelve the project so DM is going around them. Putting out a book of 100 photographs (shot by David Lynch) that includes a blank CD-R, the new project includes "For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will."
