Rapper Gucci Mane was arrested in Atlanta this morning for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle back in January ... TMZ has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Gucci was routinely checking in with his probation officer ... when the P.O. noticed the rapper had an active warrant out for his arrest for allegedly pushing a woman out a moving vehicle back in January.

Gucci was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge.

Gucci -- who is still on probation stemming from a 2005 aggravated assault conviction -- could be in even more trouble ... because officials tell us the new allegations could constitute a probation violation.

The rapper is currently being held on $5,000 bond until he faces a judge tomorrow. (TMZ)
