Hit R&B singer Mario recently talked about Gucci Mane's prison sentence during a radio interview. Mario, who collaborated with Gucci Mane on the "Break Up" track, says "Nah, I didn't speak to him about the situation," Mario told radio diva Jenny Boom Boom. "It's a setback, it's a setback. It's definitely a setback, I mean, he's got a lot of great music out right now. He's been having a great run for himself. I don't care what you got going on, when you gotta sit for a year? It's a setback. I think he's still hungry, you know what I'm saying? He's still got a lot of work to do. Prayers go out to him though." [Mario – Talks About Gucci Mane's Prison Sentence – Watch Here]
In related news, Gucci Mane released a statement last month about his time behind bars saying he will continue to remain positive during it all. "I have accepted full responsibility for my actions and I am ready to deal with what is in front of me right now," wrote Gucci. "Thankfully, my label is still moving forward with my album release so I will have plenty to look forward to when I get out. I am remaining positive and want my fans to know that I am grateful for their loyalty and continued support. I will get through this."
