Jay Electronica Talks Collabs & The Big Chill
Jay Electronica and Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts recently sat down with Soul Culture Media to talk about their collaborations efforts along with their first live performance at the Big Chill Festival in the UK.
“This man is an amazing musician,” New Orleans emcee Electronica says of Samuels, explaining why he was driven to get involved in the Bullitts project whilst Jeymes describes their work as “a portal into our train of thought,” gushing, “As a fan first and foremost, imagine being onstage with Jay Electronica, Lucy Liu and Idris Elba — all people that you love… It was almost surreal for me; before I’m an artist I’m a fan, and I make music from that standpoint.”
