Jay-Z will be rocking Washington D.C. with an inauguration concert for Barak Obama. Jigga will headline the show, backed by a live band, on January 19th at the Warner Theatre on 13th Street. Tickets for the show will go on sale January 9th at 10am via the Live Nation website.

Jay-Z backed Obama during his campaign with concerts, voter registration drives and even an a song called "History" [listen here]. "I need y'all to be really, really quiet for this. I need you to really understand what I'm telling you,” Jay-Z said during a rally in November. “Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk. Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run. Obama's running so we all can fly," Jay-Z said.

Obama has expressed he is a fan of Jay-Z, saying Jigga is a regular on his Ipod and even “brushed dirt off of his shoulders” in reply to jabs directed at him from former presidential hopeful, Senator Hillary Clinton.
