Although Barack Obama won't be sworn in as President for a little over a week, hip hop artists (including Jay-Z, T.I., Young Jeezy and Common) plan to celebrate the historic event early. For five consecutive days leading up to the inaguration, Washington D.C.'s Love nightclub will play host to some of rap's biggest names. Jay-Z will kick off the festivities on Friday (1/16) then Saturday will see the "BET Honors" hosted by Diddy. Sunday T.I., Young Jeezy and Akon will all perform with DJ Cassidy and Monday Common will hit the stage.
On the actual day of the Obama inauguration, Slick Rick, Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh and DJ Kid Capri will play the “Legends Ball” show. Tickets for each night range from $20 to $75 and each show will start at 8 p.m. If you want to check out any of the shows, visit www.lovetheclub.com
Jay-Z will also be headlining the "In Concert On The Eve Of Change" at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater. Presented by Live Nation, Jigga's new business partner, the concert will feature a live band.
