Blueprint 3 Like 808s & Heartbreak But More Hip-Hop

Posted By on April 28, 2009

Although no release date has been even hinted at, it's pretty clear that hard work is going into Jay-Z's upcoming "Blueprint 3" album. In a recent interview, Kanye West's mentor No I.D. (who also worked on Jay-Z's "American Gangster" album) talked about Jigga's upcoming album saying he's working with Kanye for it. "I’ma say we were doing Blueprint 3 when we did ‘Heartless,’” I.D. says. [watch here] ID went on to say that Jay-Z's album is like Kanye's but more hip-hop stating "’Heartless’ made 808s and Heartbreak happen and all that is related but everything in Blueprint 3 is like 808s and Heartbreak but more hip-hop. So they related than Jay brings it around to make it hip-hop credible." [watch here]

No I.D. is sure that fans of Jay-Z will love Jigga's 10th studio album saying "[There’s] some records on there," I.D. said while he smiled. "That record is also gonna be a record that grows on people in a certain way and in a certain amount of time it’s gonna be a full-fledged classic." [watch here]
