With the good, comes the bad and Jay-Z is learning that the hard way. As we previously reported, he just rocked the UK at the Glastonbury Festival and recieved rave reviews. The success of the show has boosted his old songs into the charts. Although it's 5 years old, his track "99 Problems" is expected to break into the top 25 downloads plus "Encore" will make it's way into the top 40.
On the negative side of things, Jigga's 40/40 Club has had a class-action lawsuit submitted against it. The plaintiff, a former employee Celeste Williams, is saying the club did not pay minimum wage or compensate for her overtime. The lawsuit will force the management of the clubs to disclose all names of employees since 2005. “This is a good day for restaurant workers all over the city,” said Williams’ lawyer. The lawyer plans to contact hundreds of other former and even current employees to see if they want to join the lawsuit.
