Its no secret that President Obama is a Jay Z fan. He has invited the rapper to the Whitehouse, and even has proclaimed he is a fan, and Jay Z has been a supporter of Obama as well. However, in New York last week, after a listening party for his collaborative album with Kanye West, “Watch the Throne” Jay held an impromptu open session with those in attendance over an array of topics. However, his comments on the unemployment rate and Obama are what are making political headlines.
“Numbers don’t lie. Unemployment is pretty high. It’s f—ed up, but he’s trying not to be the angry black man,” Jay was quoted to have said.
And although he offered no solutions to the problem, his criticism came as a surprise to many, since the rapper had helped Obama during his presidential campaign, and his mega star wife Beyonce recently went viral in a video supporting Michelle Obama’s healthy kids initiatives.
