Jay-Z has been confirmed as the headliner for the All Points West Music and Arts Festival, replacing The Beastie Boys at the last minute. After the Beastie Boys were forced to cancel due to medical treatment for cancer-stricken member Adam "MCA" Yauch, Jigga was tapped on yesterday (July 22nd) to host the three-day concert event.

"Finding someone to help fill the shoes for Beastie Boys is hard," Paul Tollett, president of concert promotion company Goldenvoice, said. "There’s so many songs they’ve got,  I thought instantly—the dream would be to have Jay-Z." It only took Jigga a little over a day to make the promoters dreams come true. Q-Tip, the Pharcyde and a reunited Organized Konfusion are also on the bill for the night while The Cool Kids and Kool Keith will perform Saturday night.

"[Jay-Z] hasn’t really headlined these festivals in America…but in Europe, he’s been kind of ruling these festivals," Tollett said. “I think Jay-Z’s really going to raise the bar on this."
