As we previously reported, Jay-Z was in talks to sell his less than one year old Las Vegas 40/40 Club and now it has been confirmed. The deal, for the 24,000 square foot sports bar located The Palazzo Casino, did not include the rights to the name so it will no longer operate under the 40/40 brand. "The sale is a great business decision, we are delighted. We look forward to expanding the brand even further to Chicago and Tokyo" Jay-Z told AllHipHop. Jay-Z and his partners plan to open 40/40 sports bars in Chicago, Tokyo and Macau in the next year.
