The Miami New Times also reports that when officers arrived, they found Markus and Oosterbroek violently fighting. During the brawl, cops reportedly saw Oosterbroek “ingesting an unknown substance.” When officers tried to between the two, Oosterbroek violently resisted, so cops used a Taser, which led to his death.
“We’re still awaiting toxicology reports this morning,” Det. Javier Baez, a Miami Dade Police Department spokesman reported to the Miami New Times on Wednesday, September 4th.
Baez has yet to confirm that the man was, in fact, Oosterbroek. However, according to the Miami New Times, at least two Dutch websites have reported this morning that Oosterbroek’s company, RAD, confirmed to a radio station in the Netherlands that the man killed in Miami was indeed the company’s founder.
