Jay-Z Performs Free Obama Voter Concert, Honored By United Nations

    As we previously reported, Jay-Z is backing Barack Obama by performing free concerts for people who register to vote. Jay-Z performed a show he called his "Last Chance For Change" in Miami on Sunday with Wyclef Jean [watch here]. Over 18,000 fans showed up for the show which Jigga made clear that  “I’m a free American citizen stating my f*cking opinion,” continuing  “I ain’t the Reverend [Jesse Jackson].” [watch here] With the success of the show, Jay-Z announced an unexpected bonus show at the Bayford Park venue today.

    In related news, Jay-Z recently was honored by the United Nations Global Leadership Awards Gala in New York last week on Wednesday. Jigga gave speech [watch here] after he was praised for his efforts to help bring clean water to young people during a trip to Africa. Jay-Z brought the water crisis attention with his special on MTV called “The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life."
