Jurmaine Dupri, or as many know him JD, has recently set out to go on a speaking tour to help educate students of the music business. Jurmaine Dupri, The Island Records Music President and joined by music industry guru Andrew Harrell, kicked off the first of three events last night (3/20) at the New Yorker Hotel, as part of the Daily News' "Night with the News" lecture series. The tour, organized by The New York Daily News, will continue Tuesday (3/25) when Dupri will talk to students at NYU's Recorded Music Program, and a week later on April 1st, he will close out the tour with a speaking engagement at the University Of Pennsylvania's prestigious Wharton School, the world's first collegiate business school. JD isn't a rookie at sharing his knowledge of the music industry, in 2007 he released an autobiography entitled Young, Rich and Dangerous: The Making Of A Music Mogul. The book was a first hand look at his personal journey as he learned the music business and obtained and continued his success even through all of the changes in his life, especially in the last few years.
