Kanye West Enlists the Talents of The-Dream, Malik Yusef For His New Solo Project

Both, The-Dream and Malik Yusef have confirmed that they will be featured on Kanye West’s latest solo project.

Kanye West is coming off of a rather successful night at the Grammy’s where he won multiple awards, and it seems there is no rest for the “successful”. West is reportedly working on his next solo project and he has enlisted the help of The-Dream and Malik Yusef to impress the fruit of their talents upon this project.

During a recent interview with Hitfix, Yusef and The-Dream, both confirmed that they are working on Kanye’s latest solo endeavor. The Dream would not release any specifics on the project, but he did say that he and Ye would be hitting the studio soon, also adding “hopefully we can get another Grammy together.”

Malik seemed to be a little bit more willing to give up some of the details of his involvement in the project, hinting that the album will be a throwback to an era of progressive black music.

“[Kanye] is a perfectionist, obviously. It’s harsh. He says no to a hundred things,” Yusef explained. “I can’t talk too much about it. Just remember black music, the black experience. It’s a throwback to that era…[and] a distillation of what’s happening in the modern world…I don’t know if we’d ever revisit that amount of singing [that he did on 808s & Heartbreaks].”

This past Sunday, Kanye and The-Dream shared a Grammy for the song “No Church in the Wild.”
