It seems that the “Ye Man” is back in rare form, speaking on everything from what he believes to be a slanted scale in the music business to being snubbed at this year’s Grammy Awards.
From Kanye’s perspective, it is an imbalanced scale which allowed a Grammy Award that Kanye felt belonged to Beyonce, go to Taylor Swift in 2009. Who has forgotten the incident in which Kanye took the microphone from Swift as she was about to give her acceptance speech, sending the music world into a state of acrimonious backlash.
Kanye went on to talk about the electrifying performances that Beyonce produces and how when a black performer like that gets snubbed, it kills the passion of the little six year old girls who dream to one day be like Beyonce.
The rapper spoke on being snubbed at this year’s Grammy’s and much more.
He even took a shot at Jay-Z’s performance on Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie”.
Kanye has found himself in the spotlight for a number of reasons over recent weeks; none of which seem to carry positive reflections, with the exception of the purchasing of an $11 million dollar mansion with girlfriend and future mother of his child, Kim Kardashian.
No one seems to be sure of what sparked the rant at the concert, but one thing can definitely be said when it comes the Kanye West; he does not hold his tongue or mince his words. There are times when that works to his advantage and then there are those times when it brings the entire world in on him. Only he knows what he feels about both. Then again, maybe he doesn’t.
