Pop star Justin Beiber has stood up to negative media rumors that seem to plague controversial rapper Kanye West, and in a new interview the young singing sensation defends the West, claiming the rapper is not the villain the media has often portrayed him as, but someone who has made a few bad decisions:
“I got to be in the studio with him and work with him and see how he works and talk to him–and talk to him as a friend, and not like someone [in] business,” the Biebs said. “He’s not really an a**hole, like everyone makes him out to be. I mean, he can, he can do bad things, but he’s really generally a good guy. He can make bad decisions, you know, as well as everyone can — but generally I think he is a good guy.” (XXL Mag)
Beiber supporting the often hated rapper isn’t surprising, as he has openly discussed his desire to work with Kanye, despite rumors that Ye’s constant bad publicity would tarnish the young singers squeeky clean image.
“Justin likes Kanye’s music, but he’s worried he’s done too many controversial things and it would hurt his image,” a source alleged. “Between the sex scandals, political gaffes and interrupting Taylor Swift, Kanye is known as a genius but a big risk to associate with!” (Digital Spy)
However, the Biebs put that to rest with a tweet:
“some rumors…i just dont know where they come from. me and @kanyewest are good. This right here is just FALSE -http://t.co/BEphwjS,” he tweeted June 15th.
And now, new reports are suggesting the pop singer will be featured on Kanye and Jay-Z’s upcoming “Watch The Throne LP“:
We’re happy to hear this because we heard that Kanye, 34, reached out to Justin, 17, in order to have him work on Kanye’s upcoming collaboration album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne. Justin has unofficially worked with Kanye before, as the rapper remixed Bieber’s song “Runaway Love” with Raekwon. (Hollywood Life)
