Director Spike Jonze recently spoke about the leak of Kanye West's "We Were Once A Fairytale" [Watch Here] short film, saying it leaked without his approval. "This is the first time it's happened to me," Jonze said of the leak, "and it is a weird feeling, like, 'Wait a second -- I wasn't ready to put that out! That's mine. Uh, no, I guess it's not mine anymore.' We rehearsed the night before we shot, and talked about trying to get to that raw place, that sad, pathetic, drunken, lost place. I told him, the more shameless it is, the more pathetic it is, the better. He just went for it. To me, I like him. I like Kanye and I care about him. This video is a side of him. Who knows? I don't know what the reception is going to be, but I love making stuff with him. I love the guy." [Kanye West - We Were Once A Fairytale - Watch It Now]

Jonze says it was first set to be a music video for Kanye's "See You In My Nightmares" but quickly became an intence project. Shot over two days, the dark, surreal mini-movie finds Ye acting drunk and inappropriate before having sex with a fellow party goer. After waking up, West vomits rose pedals, then stabs himself in the stomach and removes an "animated rodent-like demon" which then kills itself.

As we previously reported, Kanye took the short film down. Ye apologized to his fans saying "WE WERE ONCE A FAIRY TALE," he wrote. "- SORRY I HAD TO TAKE IT DOWN : ( " BUT DONT WORRY, WE have it! [Kanye West - We Were Once A Fairytale - Watch It Now]
